The i3+ does not feature obstacle avoidance features like the i7+ or other top-rated robots we have tested. We were also amazed by the i7+'s compatibility Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services, which we used to instruct the robot to begin, stop or pause its cleaning sessions and to move around the room, and even vacuum an area. Connecting the i7+ to these services was simple and easy with the iRobot Home app. When connected, we were able to give the i7+ voice commands such as "Hey Alexa, vacuum the master bedroom." 3. Dyson Cyclone V10

This tiny Dyson model is an all-sports car that is amidst a sea of vacuums with cords that feel like minivans and buses. It is powerful enough to replace a traditional stand-up vacuum in a majority of homes, but it is also compact enough to fit on a coffee table or bookcase.

The V10 is powered by a seven-cell, energy-dense lithium-ion battery that produces fade-free power for 60 minutes. It's capable of sucking up all kinds of debris in our tests, and it frequently goes over the same areas several times to ensure a thorough clean. Its flat front makes it possible to reach corners and edges of walls.

Its smart navigation system uses iAdapt to avoid obstacles and navigate around your home, but it isn't equipped with the ability to map that comes with more sophisticated models like our top picks such as the i3+ EVO and j7+ series. In our testing, the Jet Bot AI+ excelled on hard floors and dealt with dog hair (on carpet) very well, picking up 86% of it. However, it did not do particularly well with taller objects like cords and socks which was disappointing. It's also more expensive than some of the other models we tested, which might be a deterrent for certain shoppers.

The smart vacuum has an onboard camera that you can access through the app, and you can also create a live stream from the robot's cleaning station.
