The Joie Roomie Glide crib is an ideal bedside crib that allows parents to sleep with their infant while ensuring they are resting safely. Its smooth gliding motion is able to soothe your baby to sleep. Its innovative features let you monitor your baby without leaving your bed.

The sliding side panel of the cot can be raised and lowered by a simple press of a button. This makes it easy to reach inside and soothe a crying baby at night. It also comes with 11 height adjustments that let it accommodate the mattress of nearly any size bed. It also includes adjustable folding feet to ensure that it sits at just the right height.

In terms of safety the cot for bedside is cushioned and has mesh sides for better ventilation, and its mattress is made from high-density foam for additional protection. It can also be cleaned which means you can keep the cot clean. It comes with a fitted bed sheet that can be used for the crib.

The Roomie Glide, unlike some other bedside cribs is compatible with all beds including divans. This is thanks to the clips and straps which connect to it. It can also be used as a stand-alone crib when not attached to your bed, and it's full of amazing features specifically designed with the bonding between parents and babies in mind.

The Tutti Bambini CoZee is an award-winning crib for bed designed to ensure a peaceful night's sleep in mind. It has a drop side rail which can be easily lowered for nighttime feeds without having to disturb your baby or get out of bed it's ideal for mothers who are breastfeeding! It's also lightweight and easy to move around during naps or for travel cot bedside.

It's made from soft materials and has breathable mesh sides to promote airflow. It's available in charcoal and oak and has a variety of melange fabric options that work well with a variety of decor styles. Anna found that it was solid and secure when it was attached to her bed. The legs snapped into place and the zippers were secured for security. It took Anna approximately 10 minutes to put it together and did not require any tools. There are clear instructions, a video and a customer service number should you encounter any issues.

In addition to the standard features you'd expect from a crib for your bed such as the ability to connect to your bed using a stay-in-place connector system and six height levels, the CoZee has an additional incline option that can be used to help ease reflux or congestion in babies. It's also machine-washable, a necessity with all the dribble and vomit that comes with having a baby!

The CoZee is a fantastic option for keeping your child close during the first six months of learning to sleep independently. It can be used as a cot, changing station and toddler bed. It can even be converted into a sofa bed by the addition of an extension pack. And while it isn't able to feed your baby, or magically sleep them it will gently rock them until they go off!

The Chicco Next2Me Magic

This is one of Chicco's more expensive options. However, it has many amazing features. It's designed to be used as a side sleeper or a standalone crib, and is suitable from birth to six months. It has a new mechanism for opening and closing the side panel and is easy to operate even with one hand. It's also more flexible than its predecessor with 11 different height levels and feet that retract to fit under any bed.

Our testers loved the ease of access the side panel provides, which can be lowered and raised by pressing the button. This was particularly useful in the evening when feeding time was over, since they could reach in and pick their baby up without waking them.

The side panel can be lifted by itself however it isn't recommended since it increases the chance of your child falling out of the cot. However, the patented safety locking mechanism ensures that it can only stay down when attached to the parent's bed correctly. This is an excellent feature to have in place for peace of mind, especially if you're breastfeeding and require frequent feedings at night.

Telescopic legs enable the Chicco Next2Me Magic to be used with any bed including divan bases as well as beds with drawers. It also comes with tilting functions for reflux babies and a rocking mode to bring them back to sleep after feeding. It's also very spacious and provides excellent ventilation thanks to its mesh sides.

The Next2Me Magic was easy to use and set up for our testers, despite the lengthy instruction manual. It's a bit heavier than other side-sleepers, but it's fairly mobile and can be moved from room room easily. It's also foldable into a travel bag which is great for those who want to transport it. The only downside our testers noticed was that the side panel didn't flex as much as the other models, making it slightly harder to observe your child from your bed.

The Shnuggle Air

The Shnuggle Air bedside crib is a great choice when you're looking for a crib that can grow with your child. It's designed to be a sleep-co-sleeping bassinet that can be attached securely to your bed and transform into a stylish cot when your baby is ready. It's perfect for night-time feeds and fostering a bond with your newborn.

Contrary to other models of bedside cribs The Shnuggle Air is built with breathability in mind. The mesh side panels with dual-view as well as the hypoallergenic, breathable airflow mattress maximize airflow and keep your baby comfortable and cool. A gentle incline option helps to reduce colic and reflux while the zip down side makes it easy to feed or comfort your baby during the night.

The conversion kit for cots (sold separately) is also well-designed, with clear directions and everything you need to get started. It took us around an hour to put together and was surprisingly simple. The only drawback to the instructions was that certain pictures did not have captions. During our tests we observed the gliding motion of this next-to-me crib to be extremely beneficial in helping babies fall asleep after feedings at night and midday. The drop-down side is also easily accessed to feed or calm babies in the middle of the night and was a major selling point for our exhausted test mothers.
