Pokemon GO Upgrade Items and Components

An upgrade item is a unique item upgrading that makes certain Pokemon develop. The upgrade can be obtained by spinning a PokeStop photo disc. It's often given as a prize in Pokemon GO events.

The Upgrade can also be found in armor, weapons trinkets, and gathering tools to increase their item level. The upgrade costs Flightstones and crests, based on the item level upgrade type.

Upgrade components

Exceptions are glyphs (which can only be used in gathering tools) and Enchantments, which can be removed and reinserted freely.

Insignias, enchantments, and upgrades with prefixes or suffixes will be displayed in the hover display of the item while they are added to the equipment's name (e.g. the word Radiant Insignia would change the name into Radiant Tyrian Armor). The number of upgrade components that have been added to an item will be visible in the tooltip of the item.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to add decorative and useful elements to an OpenType font. These include ligatures, fractions, or ornaments as well as registered trademark symbols such as ellipses, swashes, and swashes. The Glyphs Panel allows you to add and view these unique characters, along with common symbols like em and en dashes as as registered trademark symbols.

Each Glyph provides a character with a boost in their primary stats. It also has up to four secondary stats that affect the radius of the glyph on your Paragon Board. You can increase the level of Glyphs by working through Tree of Whisper Quests or Nightmare Dungeons. The more difficult the dungeon is, the greater Glyph experience you'll earn. Once a Glyph reaches level 15 it is upgradeable at the Glyph Upgrade Altar. The upgrade of a Glyph increases its radius on the Paragon Board by one node every 15 levels.

Once a Glyph has reached the desired level, you can activate it. Select it and click the "enchant button". The resulting glyph will give its stated benefit and increase the number of nodes in its range on the Paragon Board. It's crucial to place glyphs where they will be most beneficial to your build, and that is why it's a good idea to prioritize Magic Glyphs early on. Rare glyphs, however, could offer double bonuses in the event that certain conditions are fulfilled and therefore are worth checking out for.

Click the cycle widget to alter the view of the Glyphs Panel. Each view shows the Glyphs using a different font. You can narrow the list of glyphs further using an option under "Entire Font": for example, punctuation displays only punctuation glyphs, while Math Symbols narrows the choice to mathematical symbols.

Rerolling

Rerolling involves establishing an account on a different account to increase your chances of getting a character or weapon you'd like. This can help you level up faster or to obtain better loot, like an improved weapon for your character. Many players reroll until they get the characters they like regardless of their abilities. This could be due to the fact that they like the character's design or personality.

You must ensure that you make clean changes every time you restart. This means you should check locally that the patch is able to pass the pre-commit checks and conduct a core development test. Rerolls may take a few days or weeks depending on how lucky you are. To cut down on time avoid enemy camps that are optional during this period. It is also recommended to avoid repeating quests that you can complete later in the game. This will save you time and energy.

Sets

It's important to remember that not all items in an assortment can be upgraded. Some sets, like the FB Sorc Whistan's shield and Naj's puzzlers are Exceptional in their own rights and don't require upgrading. On the other hand, some items that are BiS and see frequent use (like Goldwrap) may benefit from being upgraded to improve their performance even more. For these kinds of items, it may be worth the extra cost to upp them.
