The X1 Omni robot mop vacuum is the most expensive in our review. However, it does have certain unique features that make it worth looking into. The X1 Omni is notable for its enormous dock that doubles as a charging base for the robot, a sink for cleaning and two water tanks that are 4 liters in size. It also houses a 2.5-liter dust bin as well as a 2.5 liter dust bin.

The base also comes with a set of control buttons that let you manually start cleaning and then recall the robot vacuums that mop or start the dock's auto-emptying process. Press two of the buttons to toggle the child lock which is a great touch for parents worried about children playing with the automatic vacuum cleaner.

Like other robotic vacuums the Omni Omni utilizes its camera to detect furniture and obstacles in its path and avoid them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

This can cause the X1 to get stuck if it gets entangled in a blockage, such as a power cable draped over a rug. It won't work until you untangle it manually. Although this is not a common occurrence, it was a frustrating experience when it did happen particularly since the X1 Omni does not come with an "stuck" status alert in its application.

The X1 Omni cannot automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming mode during a cleaning session. You'll need to manually switch between the two, which isn't a big deal aside from the fact that mopping pads haven't been cleaned and dried between use which could lead to mildew or mold.

On the bright side the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who dreamed up its modern, sleek base and mopping pad. It's a big departure from the utilitarian all-black bases of competitors like Roborock or iRobot. It's also a welcome sight for the market that is dominated by boxy models.
