3 Wheel All Terrain Pushchair

A pushchair that is all-terrain and offers outstanding maneuverability will work whether you're looking for a buggy for nature walks or taking a stroll along the high street. These models typically have large wheels and a surprisingly strong suspension for smooth riding over rough terrain and bumps.

The majority of them are suitable from birth and come with a lie-flat seat or newborn carrycot. These vehicles also have tyres that never flatten, and are usually composed from foam.

Suspension

A genuine all-terrain pushchair has a great suspension, specifically designed to be smooth on rough terrain and help your child to be comfortable and calm. The wheels are usually large and puncture-proof to protect against injuries from sharp rocks or sharp sticks.

Some all-terrain strollers even offer the option to switch between different tyres to suit the conditions. Seat

There are a wide range of all-terrain pushchairs with three wheels available, which offer a superb off road capability. They are great if you live in the countryside or regularly walk on rough, uneven ground. These are more robust and durable than a regular pushchair. They come with special features like large puncture-proof tires to withstand the toughest surfaces. They are often quite large and may be difficult to maneuver in narrow spaces or in aisles of shops.

All-terrain buggy seats are placed either with the parent or facing. They will grow with your child from birth to toddler. It's equipped with foam-filled 'never flat' tyres for a smooth ride with dual frame suspension, as well as lavish padding inside the seat, which provides great postural support and comfort. Look for a model with excellent all-terrain capabilities, durable suspension and large puncture-proof wheels, but built in the traditional pushchair style with reversible seats and the option of a full carrycot.

The UPPAbaby's bestselling Ridge all-terrain pushchair is a perfect example of this; it offers excellent suspension, a simple fold, and a large 10kg basket, but it also comes with features that are suitable for parents, such as an adjustable handlebar, a hand-operated brake on the right-hand side and a large, covered storage space. The hood can be removed and washed with cool soapy water to keep out mould and mildew.

If you are planning to take your all-terrain stroller off road and on the road, you should consider air-filled tires rather than rubber grips. They'll provide a more comfortable ride on rough terrain and be easier to manoeuvre in tight spaces. If you intend to use your all-terrain pushchair to do occasional jogging, make sure the front wheel is able to swivel or has a quick release facility to ensure it is locked in place for greater stability.

To keep the fabrics in perfect condition, make sure they can be machine-washed. If not, a spot cleaning using soapy water and warm water should suffice. The fabric can be dried thoroughly outside to prevent mould or mildew.

Look for models with an all-flat seat that is fully lie-flat and reversible backrest that will allow you to use it from the time of birth until your child is three years old.
