World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of armors, Upgrade Item weapons and rings. They also increase bonuses like damage from PvE and crit chance.

If the template for Upgrade Item upgrading a weapon ends in %, it will increase an additional 3% of the previous damage for every time it is upgraded.

Item upgrading costs crests and the item's current level. The cost increases with the item's level.

Components

Upgrade components can be added to trinkets, weapons and armor in order to give them a boost in stats or an extra effect. These can be obtained through crafting, buying from vendors trading, or looting. Certain upgrades also come with special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can only be applied to equipment that has a slot. The item must be at least upgraded to a blue level before the component can be applied. Upgrade components, unlike other mods can only be applied once. They cannot be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and Enrichments are a type of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet legendary or ascended equipment, as well in some items that aren't ascended. Infusions and enrichments can be recovered by salvaging gear that is ascended or by completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade may be prefixed or a suffix that alters the name of the equipment with which it is applied (for examplethe 'Canthan Armor Insignia" becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). A boost upgrade is a way to modify the attack or defense characteristics of a weapon or armor. These upgrades can be crafted from the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene, and defeats the Crazed mechanic. These upgrades can be obtained by purchasing them from the cash shop or collecting them from enemies when upgrading other equipment.

The player is able to have up to five boost upgrades at a time; each upgrade item increases the chance that a better-quality version of the item will be available in the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to keep upgrading their gear, even if they're unsure of how much they'll improve after a future reset.

Whether a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process may be expensive, and there is a significant chance that the item could become obsolete or even break if it fails. A failed upgrade will cause the destruction of Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. This is alleviated by the availability cash shop items that double or even eliminate the chance of failure, as well as a few upgrades that give the benefit of being reinserted into an Best item upgrader.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade elements that can be placed in special sockets on the Paragon Board. The value of each Glyph is displayed when you choose it in your inventory. You can replace it with another Glyph that is the same or higher rank to increase the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of the Gem Store bundle or purchase the glyphs with certain tools that allow unlimited use as well as during Faction Crypt Raids. Every Faction Crypt could drop one of these Glyphs. There are also some rare glyphs you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

When you have the desired Glyphs You will have to put them on your gear. Leveling

The item upgrade system allows players to boost the effectiveness of certain items by adding upgraded components. This is known as "upping". Each upgradeable item is assigned a level that determines the final stats. Upgraded items can be leveled up to a maximum of 385. Each level of an Best item upgrade requires a different amount of components to be reached and the costs for upgrading increase as the item is advanced in level.

Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained from the completion of Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table or obtained from NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe completed will result in a certain amount of Technology points. When an individual player upgrades the equipment they have the original item will be replaced by an item that is new. The same armor will receive an weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item will have a unique bonus. This can be a disadvantage, as it can make the item more expensive, even if you don't need it.

If the player has enough tokens, they can roll item upgrades. The item will be replaced by a brand new one that has a base of level 1 and completely different bonuses. This is useful for certain items, however it shouldn't be repeated often, as it can use up lots of resources.

Certain upgrades can boost their value and allow players to modify their gear. One example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an increase in power when a player is repeatedly in and out of the water (or swims like a dolphin). Requirements

Each time you upgrade an item, it is given a chance to fail--the failure rate increases the more you go beyond the maximum amount of upgrades. Failures can result in the item returning to its original condition and the player having to spend additional items than if they stopped upgrading after the maximum number.

If an item isn't upgraded, the experience bar in the bar for growth will be reset to zero. In addition the item will lose any bonuses it gained such as crit chance and attack damage, as well as all additional effects associated with that effect (for example, increased heal over time or the speed of reloading). The player can continue to use their weapon or armor even after the failure.

When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from the lowest to the highest.
