World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading

Item upgrading allows players to boost an item's gear score up to 700 and also add a final perk. Items can be upgraded by having them in inventory and heading to the kiln.

Certain items are worth upgrading because of their distinctive stats. (For example an excellently roll breakpoint armor is used in melee PvP). Other items, like weapons don't really change after an upgrade, and aren't worth the effort.

Weapons

Upgrades to weapons can improve their numerical stats, including attack damage, crit chance and PvE/PvP damage. Weapons also come with a flat bonus that increases the damage they deal per second. In addition there are many weapons with a set bonus that activates when three or more of the same weapon are present on a unit. In some instances, this bonus could amount to more than the amount of damage that a weapon can sustain by itself.

The cost of upgrading a weapon's capabilities is contingent on the nature of the weapon as well as its current level. For example an item with a rating of +2 will require two regular Smithing Stones to upgrade while an upgrade of +3 requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade a weapon will continue to increase until it is required to use a higher tier of Smithing Stones, at which the amount will be reset to one.

Upgraded weapons can also alter their base stats. While this is generally an excellent thing but it can also have negative consequences as well. In the case of items that only see use in a certain build (Whistant's shield for FB Sorcs, for example) upgrading them could render them unusable unless you happen to have an extremely lucky roll.

Armor items can be upgraded to increase their stats. This can boost the defense of a chest or helm as well as belts and gloves. These will increase their required strength and agility. Armor offers a rerolling option for its Enhanced Defense percent. This means that it can sometimes reduce its value.

The upgrade template for a weapon will display the new stats that it will get when upgraded, along with their respective values. This means that a weapon will gain 3% attack damage if it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. However the 3% does not mean that it will hit 3 times less often, since it is an absolute number.

Rerolling a weapon is also possible by pressing the green button on the item upgrader menu with the arrows that are circling. This will roll an item and change its statistics, but not reset the weapon's level or connect it to an account's status.

Armor

A few armor upgrades can make the world of difference in your ability to survive. Certain sets can provide MASSIVE increases in resistance to poison, curses fire, magic, and other. This makes it easier to traverse difficult terrains. Generally speaking, the more defense your character has, the more value you will get from each point of health you have and it's crucial to upgrade your armor as much as possible.

You can upgrade your armor by visiting one of the Great Fairy Fountains. There are four Great Fairy Fountains available in the game and to unlock each one you have to complete a side quest that involves the Stable Trotters. After you've completed the main quest and the associated fountains, you'll have the option of talking to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the menu for upgrading armor.

The amount of materials required to upgrade each piece of armor is different. In general, you'll need at anything from three to five Red Chuchu jellies and 10 Rupees for the initial upgrade, and anywhere between five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Horns for each subsequent upgrade. For instance the Champion Leathers could be upgraded to +5 defense, which allows you to keep pace with a good-sized group of enemies in most cold conditions, and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded up to +20 defense, giving you enough protection to survive an entire raid with a handful of friends.

Note that armor can't be upgraded the same way as weapons, so you'll need to concentrate on upgrading it to gain physical strength if you're a Warrior or Spell Power if you're Mage. It's also worthwhile to save your armor upgrades to use for armor you'll be wearing at the end of the game, such as the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield, or the helmet you'll wear for the final boss battle as well as the Monter Parts merchant's mask.

You can also unlock some advantages to your armor by giving the jeweler in Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. In general, you should save these upgrades for the weapon you'll be using to beat the game, such as the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer, but it can be useful to have some upgrades of the chest armor and helmets that allow you to stealth around some monsters.

Potions

Potions are bottled substances that, if consumed, give the player an effect on their status for a short period of time. There are five kinds of potions, each with a specific set of effects and durations. Some potions can be upgraded, enhancing their level of effect. Alternatively, the effects of some potions can be enhanced by adding glowstone dust or redstone to them.

Upgrades to your potion require a specific amount XP. This can be obtained through crafting them on a crafting table or by storing them in the Alchemist chest. The cost of upgrading varies based on the type of potion used and the item level upgrade's rarity as well as Mark Level.

To upgrade a potions simply right-click on it in your inventory. Select "Upgrade" from the menu. This opens an GUI in which you can select the potions you wish to upgrade and the amount of XP they'll yield when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches of up to five at a time, and their XP will be added to the total amount of XP you have.

Once a potion is upgraded in quality, it will not deteriorate until you take it out again or Item upgrading break the bottle in the container it is kept. You can also change the name of the potion by clicking it in your inventory.

There were some changes to potion mechanics in version 1.7.2. For example, splash potions now have an average duration of 0:08 (this is not the same as the 22.5 seconds that are displayed on the item hover display). The table of potion now crafted from four Wood Planks, and two Glass. This allows it to be used by players playing Survival and Bedrock. In contrast to the Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions are not able to be combined in cauldrons. The same applies to using a potion within the cauldron that is filled. This will drain the liquid, and then refill the bottle.

Finally, there are simmering potions that are made using dragon breath and splash potions. Redstone can be added to lingering potions to enhance their effects. The table of potion ingredients is now arranged more like the Java Edition, and new potions were introduced, including potion of leaping, potion of decomposition, and turtle master potions.

Trinkets

A trinket is a small and affordable ornament or piece of jewelry. It could also be a small ornament or object that serves a purpose, but isn't important, like a Thimble. In some traditions, trinkets are used to signify affection or friendship, particularly between family members.

Players can upgrade trinkets in addition to weapons, armor, and potions. Upgrades can be purchased by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. As with other upgrades to items trinkets are able to be swapped out at will without losing their stats.

Upgrade vendors are located at the capitals of every zone, and in some instances in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are available using tokens, gold or fragments of trinkets that are rare.

Upgrades are a cost-effective alternative to purchasing a new trinket. It can be done by players for less than 12 tokens. The new trinket will have the same base ilvl of the older one, and have an additional 1% upgrade bonus.

Once the old Trinkets are not usable they can be upgraded. This allows a player to increase both their power and value over time. They can also be traded between players, making them a popular alternative to gold.

In general players should make upgrades to their most important items first. This means that the Best item upgrade-in slot items for each class are upgraded first then their secondary gear, and then other pieces of equipment that will not replace anytime soon (such as an earring or a cloak). When deciding which items to upgrade players must also consider their class's preferred statistics. For instance, if Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for a tank, they should prioritize upgrading their chest, helm shoulders, belt, and helm.

Trinkets are able to be upgraded to a higher ilvl after they're no longer needed, and the new trinket will receive an additional bonus of 1% for Item upgrading upgrading. However, a re-upgrade is likely to ruin the previous trinket, unless it is salvaged using a Black Lion Salvage Kit or an alternative salvage tool that is higher-end. This means upgrading trinkets is more expensive than other upgrades, however it is still less expensive than buying a new one.
