The docking station on the S1 automatically empties its trash bin and replenishes its water tank onboard with clean, ozonated water prior to every mopping session. The dock also adds a cleaning solution into the water for deep cleaning. The S1's tank of water holds enough water for about 12 cleaning sessions before it has to be cleaned, although this will vary depending on how much you use the mop.

Like all 2-in-1 robots, the S1 requires periodic maintenance to ensure it is operating well. You'll need to periodically rinse out the tank that has been contaminated to keep it from becoming blocked. It is also necessary to clean your sensor and swivel wheel frequently to prevent them from getting blocked by dust or dirt. Dreame launched the high-end X30 Ultra earlier this year however their latest top-of-the-line robot vacuum and mop has even more impressive features. It boasts fantastic cleaning results and hands-free maintenance which makes it a strong contender for our best mop and vacuum robots. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart recognition and a longer side brush will give you a thorough, custom-designed clean.

The X40 Ultra vacuums well, removing both fine and large debris. It is a great choice on hard floors and carpets. It was able to clean the dirtiest areas of our tests with ease, avoiding pet hairs and other dirt. The sweeping power of the machine is enhanced by a sidebrush that automatically moves out to get into areas that are difficult to reach and mop pads that extend along baseboards.

Its navigation is smart it can navigate through tiny spaces and negotiating stairs without skipping a step. It also features an automatic vacuum and mop water tank filling and washing system for hands-free operation.

The mops also stand out with their 2700Pa power that can take on pet hair and dirt on carpets and hard flooring. The Q5 was among the few robots we tested to not have issues with high-pile rugs and carpets. However, it was able to not remove kitty-poop or cable tangles. This isn't a surprise, since it does NOT have AI-powered obstacle-avoidance features.

5. K10 Plus

K10 Plus is the quietest robotic vacuum we've ever tested. It also features a unique mapping system that helps it reach tight corners and corners that other vacuums are unable to. The device also stores dust in a bigger dustbin which means you need empty it less frequently. It also has washable filters, which reduces the cost.
