Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that automatic vacuum and mop and mop provide the convenience of cleaning both dry debris (dust, dirt) and wet messes (spills, stains) in one time without the need to change devices. The vacuum comes with four power modes, a selection of brushes and attachments and an intuitive app that lets you select the kind of cleaning you'd like for each room.

For instance, you can opt for the robot to do a deep clean in the living and kitchen but be careful with the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro's front colision sensors and its smart navigation technology are also excellent, with the robot being able to detect tiny obstacles that other models have difficulty overcoming. Its only drawback is that it can smash into walls and other objects at full speed - but just a glance at the history of cleaning within the app will show you exactly what it's doing as well as where it's heading and the obstacles it's run into or avoided.

A handy LCD screen on the docking station shows the maintenance tasks that need to be done, such as emptying the debris tray, and washing the water tank that is dirty. It also mixes detergent into the water tank automatically with a 600ml of eufy solution.

Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop are able to run for a long time, with the mop able to operate for an 184-minute runtime in Quiet mode, while the vacuum is able to do 136 minutes in standard mode before needing to recharge or return to the base to replenish. The app is simple to use and intuitive and lets you view every aspect of the cleaning.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the latest version of the company's flagship robot vacuum that vacuums and mops vacuum and mop. The model this year has an agitator that doubles as its mopping pad. This improves the carpet cleaning capabilities of this model. The S8 Pro Ultra also has improved suction power, allowing it to remove small hairs and other particles that other robotic cleaners could miss.

As with the other two Roborock models I've tried the S8 Pro Ultra has a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology to helps it avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things one step further by incorporating a dual camera that can detect objects and decide whether they're an object that is a wall or a different surface. It can then change its path automatically and clean the objects, without missing a step.

It's the most expensive robot I've ever tested however it also comes with the most features. Its sleek, angular style is attractive and it has only three physical buttons: the power button, which also resumes cleaning; a mop-only switch that doubles as a child lock; and a home button to send the robot back to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid reveals 350ml of dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank automatically emptys and the bin fills up automatically.

The only downside I've discovered with this model is that its VibraRise mop pad mount is not removable. Although you can change the mopping cloth (if needed) but it's a challenge to take off the mount to wash manually. I've noticed that any plush carpet that the robot touches will come into contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener mechanism on the mount, which could cause scratches.

The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart capabilities which include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can manage and set up these via the Roborock app, which is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app lets you schedule cleanings and track battery life. But you'll need to jump through a few hoops to enable voice control on this model which is unfortunate considering how well it performs otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop that has exceptional suction power, advanced mowing capabilities, and ingenuity features. Its smart design allows users to tailor and effectively clean while reducing time.

The X40 is the first robot vacuum cleaner to deliver 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which easily makes it one of the most effective options available. This powerful vacuum cleans up dry mess, including pet hair and dust. It also comes with a top-quality mop that leaves hard floors sparkling clean, even with a wet pad. The X40 is also extremely quiet in operation, with only occasional bursts during mode changes or self-maintenance.

In contrast to other robots that only focus on one task, the X40 can perform mopping and vacuuming at the same time or separately. It can be programmed to only mop the hard floors, and skip carpeted areas, and vice versa. It can be controlled by the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operation.

The app is simple to use and intuitive, and the X40 comes with a variety of smart features that are easy to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, adjust suction power and mode, view mapping and floor Robots That Vacuum and Mop plans, and manage mopping settings. The X40 can also monitor its progress and notify you when it's done.

The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with numerous features that make it a great choice for busy families. Its docking station automatically empties the dustbin into a huge 3.2 L bin, washes the mop pads, and refills them with clean water and cleaning solution. It also can detect whether the mop pad has reached its capacity to the max and notify you of the situation before it spills.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models on the market. It has several features that make it stand out. The mops come with a brand new feature called Smart DuoScrub that makes use of two mops with high-speed motors to scrub floors more thoroughly than the traditional method, and has a high maximum suction power of 7,000Pa. This is much higher than that of the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni and can clean pet hair and smaller dirt particles - and also pick up spills and wet spots.

The mops are also cleaned and dried inside the base station after every use. This is beneficial because it prevents mould and unpleasant odours that can build up in storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a system has yet to be seen on other robot vacuum and mop models, and it could be a great method of keeping your home cleaner for longer.

There's a wealth of options available, including the possibility to schedule cleaning appointments and adjust a variety of preferences. It's a bit heavier at 4kg than the other robots on this list however it's not excessively heavy. It is solid and well-built. The mopping is also well-designed, and the double rotating mop works well on hard floors as well as in corners. The MopExtend feature lets them reach up to 2mm below baseboards.
