1. IRobot Roomba i3+ EVO

The i3+ EVO and its i3 EVO sibling, the i3 EVO are the same robots that differ only in that the i3+ has self-emptying features. That makes the i3+ an excellent option for those looking for an automated, hands-free cleaning experience but don't mind taking the time to empty their robot's trash bin when it is full.

Both robots excel at picking up surface debris on carpets and hard floors, and Top Rated Robot Vacuum they're very adept in moving around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software creates a smart maps of your home to assist the i3+ to navigate and clean efficiently. The i3+ isn't able to feature obstacle avoidance features like the i7+ or other top-rated robots we have tested. It can get stuck on power cords and socks and have difficulty navigating between different surfaces, like rug and hardwood.

iRobot suggests that you clear areas that the i3+ EVO will vacuum before you use it, which includes putting away any clutter or toys it may come across. The Roomba i7+ can keep up to 10 floor plans and their names using Imprint Smart Mapping, which allows it to identify rooms to clean them more efficiently. It also integrates with iRobot Home to schedule cleaning tasks, and it can direct your robot using the app or by voice.

In our tests the i7+ performed more agile and faster than our runner-up which was the eufy RoboVac G30, and it picked up large pieces of pet hair from all surfaces kinds including carpeting. Its main advantage over the eufy, though it self-empties its dust bin, which removes a major source of maintenance and lowers recurring costs.

We were also impressed by the i7+’s compatibility with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services. We used these services to instruct the robot vacuum cleaner price to start, stop, or pause cleaning sessions and also to move around the room, and even vacuum a specific area. The iRobot Home App made it easy to connect the i7+ with these services. After being connected, to give voice commands to the i7+ for example "Hey Alexa vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home App also offers options to manage i7+ settings and evaluating performance.

3. Dyson Cyclone V10

This tiny Dyson model is a sports car in a world of vacuums with cords that feel like minivans and buses. It has the power and features to replace a stand-up vacuum for many households and can fit perfectly next to the table for a coffee or the bookshelf, that you can spin around like a magic tool.

The V10 is powered by a 7-cell energy-dense lithium-ion battery which produces continuous, non-fading power for 60 minutes. The advanced whole-machine filter system is able to trap allergens and then releases cleaner air into your home. Its cleaning head is specially designed and drives stiff nylon bristles deep into carpets to trap large particles and fine dust. It comes with three suction modes to suit the task being performed. It is able to swiftly switch from handheld to floor vacuum and vice versa.

The main drawback of the V10 is its limited run time. Its marketing claims that it has up to 60 minutes of running time are not true, as CR's testing shows. This is a typical, not exceptional, battery-powered vacuum's run time. That's still enough run time to get rid of the majority of a typical-sized home, but not quite long enough to clean every spot (though the second time around usually can be effective). This doesn't mean that this model doesn't have its advantages: It's lighter and agile than older cordless Dysons, and its vacuuming efficiency is superior on carpets with a low pile.

The 694 is a basic robot vacuum that's a great choice for those who don't have a lot of money to invest in a robot. It was able to pick up all kinds of debris and sizes in our testing and often went over the same area several times to give an extensive clean. The flat front of the unit allows to get into corners and along the walls' edges which is a nice feature.

Its intelligent navigation system makes use of iAdapt technology to steer clear of obstacles and navigate your home. However, it lacks the capabilities for mapping of more advanced models, like our top picks, the i3+EVO and J7+ Series. It is prone to getting stuck on phone cords or low furniture and will often run out of power before returning to its original location.

It also feels better-built and has a more powerful motor, and performs notably better on bare floors and carpets with low pile, while offering a wider range of automation features.

5. Samsung Jet Bot AI+

Samsung is a household name in home electronics. It's not surprising that they are one of the top makers of robot vacuums and mop. Their Jet Bot AI+ is packed with cutting-edge onboard technology to aid in navigation and obstacles avoidance.

The app provides plenty of options to customize your robotic cleaner, such as virtual barriers, mopping water levels and behavior adjustments, docking frequency settings, and much more. It's easy to understand and easy to use, just as is the case with other Samsung devices.

In our tests in our tests, the Jet Bot AI+ performed well on hard floors. It cleaned up 86 percent of dog hair (on carpet). It was not as successful in avoiding taller items such as socks or cords.
