WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a boost to certain stats. Each upgrade boosts the Item Level Upgrade level by +3. A random additional substat is also added to every upgrade.

The upgraded gear is usually more valuable, unless the item has a low requirement by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a high variance in stats (like Eth Titan weapons). The latter are less valuable from upgrading due to the requirement to roll to get a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader enables players to upgrade gear to a higher level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of weapon or armor. However, the item that is used for the upgrade will be consumed for the duration of time and can't be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create the enchantments.

You can upgrade your equipment anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To ensure that your equipment is up-to-date it is recommended you visit the upgrader each several weeks.

The cost of upgrades will depend on the current item upgrader kit level of the item being upgraded however, they will always be cheaper than buying new gear from other sources. For example upgrading a chest piece from Benthic to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points, while buying a similar item from another player will costs 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items which can be used to level up weapons and tools, armor and other accessories. They can be purchased by players from NPCs of item upgraders for a variety of currencies. They can also find them in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade is purchased it can be applied to any weapon or tool using a button, which will display a preview of the item at the next upgrade level in the event that the player has enough materials.

The cost of upgrading varies based on the slot of the item upgrade and the current item level. For example, weapons will cost more than gloves, bracers or bracers. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones plus a set number of crests. Some upgrades give a discount on the Flightstones. Once an item upgrading is upgraded to a certain degree and is degraded, it can be sold and sold back to the upgrader for a lower amount of the two currencies.

A lot of locations offer upgraders for items which include the main island and a few outposts. The NPCs offer both an upgrade discount as well as a chance to get a brand new upgrade recipe. In Season 3, several new features were added to the upgrade system. Once a player obtains an upgrade to a specific level for an item in an armor slot, upgrading further items to the same level will cost less even when they are part of an entirely different set of gear.

The discount is available to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests required to upgrade is cut too, but it is only available when certain milestones are achieved.

Crests

When it comes to upgrading equipment in WoW players have a few choices. Flightstones are a currency that is available to all players for upgrading. Crests are more special and are used for specific item level upgrades. Crests are a crucial component of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System, which was introduced in version 10.1. They come in four ranks.

The first thing to remember is that crests can only be used to purchase equipment that is of a particular rank, and each rank has different requirements for its upgrade path. The easiest and most straightforward upgrade costs 15 crests. The most complex upgrade could require as much as 20 crests, based on the type of equipment being upgraded.

Players can earn crests through working through content at the appropriate level. This could be by doing outdoor activities, or by completing dungeons and raids in all difficulty levels to obtain equipment of lower tier or Mythicbosses for raids, or dungeons with heroic difficulty for gear in the endgame. The crests can then be exchanged with an item upgrader, such as Cuzolth or Vaskarn in Valdrakken for the appropriate upgrade steps and pathways.

The new currency system isn't difficult to use, but it will bring some changes to the upgrade process. When a piece reaches the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer) it no longer requires Flightstones. This allows players to upgrade their equipment to the highest possible ilvl on all of their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.

Another notable change is that crests have one use, so it's important to use them wisely. It is Best item upgrader to use your Whelpling-rank Crests on the best gear that you can find, and Item level Upgrade save Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next round of upgrades. This is particularly applicable to rings and trinkets that fill multiple slots on the character, which will only be able to avail the account-wide discount when all of the slots are filled with top-quality equipment.
