World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades increase the value of certain numeric stats on weapons, armor and rings. They also boost extra bonuses such as crit chance and PvE damage.

If the weapon's upgrade template ends in %, it will be able to gain an additional 3% of the previous damage each time it is upgraded.

The cost of upgrading an item increases as it reaches the item's current level. The cost increases as the level of the Best item upgrader rises.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be inserted into weapons, armor, and trinkets to provide an extra stat boost or effect when they're used. They can be acquired through crafting, buying from vendors trading or looting. Some upgrades have special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can only be applied to equipment that has a slot. The item must be at least upgraded to blue level before a component can be applied. Like other mods, upgrade components can only be used one time; they cannot be applied repeatedly or replaced by new upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a special kind of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet ascended or legendary equipment, as well as some of the non-ascended back items. Infusions and enrichments can be retrieved by salvaging ascended gear or by completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Item Upgrader Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade can have a prefix or suffix changing the name of the equipment with which it is used (for examplethe "Canthan Armor Insignia' becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase an item's Mark Level or Rarity, allowing players to create stronger versions of the equipment using the smallest amount of Upgrade Crystals than is required to reach the same level of upgrade through normal methods.

A 'boost' upgrade can alter the attack or defence attributes of the weapon or armor. After the player has completed the cutscene and defeated the Crazed Mechanist the upgrades can be made at the Portative Forging Station. They can be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear or by purchasing them from the cash store for 500 upgrade crystals each.

Each upgrade increases the chance that a higher tier version of the item will be available at the next reset. This gives players an incentive to upgrade their equipment even when they're not sure how much it will be improved following an update.

The process of upgrading an item can be expensive, and it is possible that the item will be obsolete or even break in the event that the upgrade is unsuccessful. Upgrade Crystals and assist powders are also destroyed when an upgrade fails. This is alleviated by the availability cash shop items that can increase or even eliminate the possibility of failure, and some upgrades that offer an additional benefit when they are inserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade components that can be inserted into special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs can boost the performance of nodes within a radius, and include any existing attaches. Glyphs are upgraded in many ways. We suggest upgrading them as soon as possible up to 15 levels.

In the final game you'll often discover that the most effective way to upgrade your gear is by placing Glyphs. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded up to level 15 and give a significant boost to your power on the Paragon Board.

Glyphs, the only upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and then replaced with no restrictions are the most commonly used. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires an Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and re-place.

Each Glyph has a particular range of values that can enhance a stat by, and the value is displayed when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can decide to replace it with a Glyph of the same rank or higher rank, which will boost the overall value of the Glyph.

There are Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of the Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain unlimited-use gathering tools as well as through Faction Crypt raids. Every Faction Crypt will drop one of these Glyphs. There are also some rare glyphs which you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs, you will need to place them on your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus that will boost the stats of a specific set of nodes that are within a radius of the Glyph. This will either be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats based on the Glyph.

Utilizing Glyphs Glyph will boost all the nodes that are linked to it, and you should try to place your Glyphs near the most important nodes of the Graph to maximise the impact. Druids, for example, should place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may be able to place them near their primary damage nodes.

Leveling

The item upgrade system allows players to increase the effectiveness of certain items by inserting upgraded components. This is commonly known as "upping". Each upgradeable item is assigned a level that determines the final statistics. Upgraded items are able to be leveled up to a maximum level of ilvl 385. Each level of an item requires a different amount of components to be reached and the cost of upgrading increase as the item is upgraded.

Certain upgrades require a specific ingredient to activate. This ingredient can be obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or on the upgrade tab in crafting tables. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed will result in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used to upgrade the item. Once enough points are earned, the upgrade will be claimed and the additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When a player upgrades an item it will be replaced with an item that is new. The same armor will be upgraded to the form of a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item comes with its own bonus. This can be a disadvantage, as it can cause the item to become more expensive if you don't require it.

Upgrades to items can be rerolled, provided that the player has enough reroll tokens in order to do this. This will cause the item to be exchanged for a brand new one, which will come with the level 1 base, and a different set of bonus bonuses. This is a good option for certain items, however it's not something that should be performed frequently, since it can use up a lot of resources.

Certain upgrades can be rerolled many times, increasing their value and giving players the ability to alter their gear. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it provides buffs when the player is repeatedly in or exits the water. It can be upgraded multiple times, each time increasing the maximum roll by a factor of 10. This item can be extremely useful in PvP battles, since an item that is properly rolled it can be worth between 20 and 50x its value if it is not upgraded.

Requirements

The ability to upgrade items allows players to boost the level of their available equipment--armor, weapons, and trinkets over ilvl 385 by offering the appropriate items and currencies to an item upgrader NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces improve the strength of their base defense and upgrades to weapon items increase their base damage and also increase their strength and dexterity.

Each item can be upgraded up to five times except for hero gear, which can be upgraded eight times. Every time you upgrade an object, it is at risk of failing. The rate of failure increases as you move beyond the maximum number. Failures will cause the item to go back to its original state, which will force the user to spend more materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the maximum number of upgrades.

If an item is not able to upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. The item also loses any bonuses it gained like crit chance attack damage, other effects (such as a higher healing rate over time, or reloading speed). However, the player can still continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.

If an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from the lowest to the highest. This means that if a weapon increases its crit chance it will be applied before any damage to attack increases. Slots is a new attribute that has been added to item definitions. The value is calculated each time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is based on the rarity rating as well as the number of upgrade slots. The cost for upgrading non-premium products is equal to the base value of the upgrade--for instance, a standard equipment item upgrader might have 5 upgrades at a cost of 25,600 Technology Points and a 4x Quality Improvement Chance--whereas hero grade items will have a much lower cost for each additional upgrade.

Premium items have different requirements for upgrading in comparison to standard equipment. For instance, they might require fewer sowels, but they will require more minerals and erons. However, players will have to visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they wish to upgrade. Each upgrade to equipment requires different amounts of the ingredients for upgrading, in addition to the costs listed above.
