WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades can give you boosts in specific statistics. Each upgrade increases the level of an item level upgrade (https://maps.google.com.Sa/) by 3. Each upgrade also boosts a random substat.

The more modernized gear generally has a greater value for trade as long as it meets low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or a very high stat variation (like Eth titan weapons). The latter are less valuable from upgrading due to the requirement to roll for a perfect version.

The cost of upgrades varies based on the slot of the item and the current item level and the weapon's price is higher than gloves or bracers for instance. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones plus a specific number of crests. Some upgrades offer a discount on the Flightstones. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain level, it can be degraded and sold back to the upgrader for a lesser amount of both currency types.

Upgraders for items can be found at many locations including the main island as well as some outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade discount as well as a chance to acquire a new upgrade recipe. The discount on upgrades increases depending on the amount of items being upgraded. It is also possible to be increased by having players complete some specific achievements or complete quests.

The new currency system isn't difficult to use, but it does bring some modifications to the upgrade process. For instance, when an item reaches the highest level of upgrading for any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic) it won't need Flightstones to be upgraded. This change allows players to upgrade their equipment to the highest possible level on all their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.

It's also crucial to choose crests with care, since they have only one purpose. For instance, it's a good idea use all of your Whelpling-rank crests with the best gear you have available and then save Drake and Wyrm crests for the next batch of upgrades you're planning on making. This is especially relevant for trinkets and rings that occupy multiple slots on the character which will only be able to take advantage of the discount for all accounts when all slots are filled with top-quality gear.
