WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give you boost in certain stats. Each upgrade boosts the item level by +3. Each upgrade also boosts an unspecified substat.

The upgraded gear typically has a higher trade value as long as it meets low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or very high stat variation (like eth titan weapons). The latter see less value from upgrading due to the need to roll for a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by giving the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of armor or weapon. The item used to upgrade the item is discarded and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be used to create Enchantments.

The upgrader is located in all major cities, Item Level Upgrade and can be visited at any time to upgrade your equipment. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader once every few weeks to ensure that your equipment is up to date.

The cost of upgrading will be based on the current level of the equipment being upgraded however, they will always be cheaper than buying new equipment from other sources. For example upgrading a Benthic chest piece to 385 ilvl will cost 20 recycle points, purchasing a similar piece from another player will costs 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used for weapons, armor, tools, and accessory upgrades. Players can purchase them from NPCs of item upgraders for a variety of currencies. They can also find them in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be used on any tool, weapon, or armor. The button will show the item upgrader mod's next upgrade level when there are enough materials.

Upgrade costs differ based on the item slot, and the current level of the item. For example weapons cost more than gloves, bracers or bracers. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones plus a certain number of crests. Some upgrades offer discounts on Flightstones. Once an item is upgraded to a certain level it can be re-downgraded and sold to the upgrader for a lower price.

Upgraders for items are available in a variety of locations including the main island and some outposts. Crests

Players have several options for upgrading their equipment in WoW. Flightstones are an item that is available to everyone who wants to upgrade. Crests are more specialized, and are used during specific item level upgrades. Crests are the main component of the Dragonflight gear progression system that was introduced in 10.1, and come in four ranks.

First, you must be aware that Crests are only available to equipment that is of a particular rank. Each rank has an upgrade path that is different. The simplest and most straightforward upgrade path costs 15 crests, while the most complex may require as many as 20 crests, based on the kind of gear that is being upgraded.

Players can obtain crests by working through content that is of the appropriate level, whether that means walking around and doing outdoor activities to get lower-tier gear, dungeons or raids of any difficulty for higher-tier items, or Mythic+ heroic raid bosses and dungeons for endgame gear. These crests are then exchanged with an upgrader like Cuzolth or Vaskarn in Valdrakken for the appropriate upgrade steps and pathways.

Using these new currencies isn't too difficult however, the system does introduce some changes to the overall upgrade process. When a piece of equipment has reached the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer), it no longer requires Flightstones. This change lets players upgrade their equipment to the highest possible level on all their characters rather than relying on seasonal loot.

It's also important to use crests in a wise manner, as they only have one use.
