World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades boost the value of certain numeric stats on weapons, armor and rings. They also increase bonuses like damage from PvE and crit chance.

For instance a weapon that has the upgrade template ending in % will suffer 3% attack damage every time it upgrades (relative to its previous value).

The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item upgrader's level. The cost increases as the item level increases.

Components

Upgrade components can be added to weapons, armor and item upgrader trinkets in order to provide them with a boost in stats or an extra effect. These can be obtained through crafting, buying from vendors, trading or looting. Some upgrades can also be accompanied by specific cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components are only available to devices that have slots. The item must be at least upgraded to a blue level before the component can be applied. Upgrade components, unlike other modifications, can only be applied once. They are not able to be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and Enrichments are a kind of upgrade component used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and Item Upgrader Ascended equipment, as well as some non-ascended items. Infusions and enrichments can be recovered by salvaging gear from the ascended, or by completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade could include a suffix or prefix, modifying the name of the equipment to the upgrade (for examplethe "Canthan Armor Insignia' becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Some upgrades boost an item's Mark Level, or Rarity, allowing players to create stronger versions of that equipment using the smallest amount of Upgrade Crystals than are required to reach the same level of upgrade through normal methods.

A 'boost upgrade' can alter the defense or attack characteristics of a weapon or armor. These upgrades are available to be made from the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene, and defeats the Crazed Mechanic. They can also be dropped by enemies when upgrading other gear or purchasing them from the cash store for 500 upgrade crystals.

Each upgrade increases the chance that a better-quality version of the item will be dropped during the next reset. This gives players an incentive to upgrade their gear, even if they are unsure what can be improved upon a reset.

Whether a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process could be costly and there is a significant chance that the item could become obsolete or even break when it fails. A failure to upgrade can ruin the Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. This is alleviated by the availability cash shop items to double or even eliminate chance of failure, and a few upgrades that give an additional benefit when they are inserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to upgrade the Paragon Board by placing them in special sockets. Glyphs increase the effectiveness of all nodes in a radius around them, including pre-existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded in many ways, and we recommend getting them up to level 15 as soon as you can.

In the final game, you will often find that the Best item upgrader way to improve your gear is to place Glyphs. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded straight to level 15 and offer significant boosts to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to get higher nodes faster.

Glyphs, the only upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and then replaced with no restrictions, are the most common. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and replaced with the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

Each Glyph has a certain range of values it can improve a stat by, and the value is displayed when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with another Glyph that is of the same or higher rank to increase the value of the Glyph.

There are Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of a Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain unlimited-use gathering tools and also through Faction Crypt raids. Each Faction Crypt will drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs which you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Once you have the desired Glyphs then you need to place them on your gear. Each Glyph will unlock a unique bonus that will boost a particular set of stat nodes that are within a radius of the Glyph. Depending on the Glyph the bonus will be +40 to one of your primary stats, or +25 to two of your secondary stats.

Glyphs boost all nodes that are connected to them, so it is best to put Glyphs in strategic places on the Graph. This will increase the impact. Druids, for example, should place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They might be able to place them near their most critical damage nodes.

Leveling

The item upgrade system allows players to increase the stats of specific items by adding upgraded components. This is referred to as "upping". Each upgradeable item has a level that determines its upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be leveled until they reach a maximum level of 385 ilvl. Each level of an item requires different components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.

Some upgrades require a special ingredient to activate. This ingredient can be obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or on the upgrade tab in crafting tables. Each Upgrade Recipe completed results in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used to upgrading an item. When enough points have been earned you will be eligible to claim the upgrade and receive its additional bonuses.

When a player upgrade an item upgrader kit, the base item will be replaced by an item that is new. This means that the same piece of armor will be transformed into the form of a shield or weapon when upgraded. The new item will come with a bonus of its own. This could be a drawback in that the item could increase in price even if you don't need it.

If the player has enough tokens, they can roll item upgrades. The item will be replaced by a brand new one that is based on a level 1 base and completely different bonuses. This is a good idea however it should not be used frequently as it could waste resources.

Certain upgrades can boost their value and allow players to modify their equipment. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it provides an increase in power if the player continuously enters or exits water. This can be upgraded several times, each time increasing the max roll by 10 points. This item is extremely useful in PvP battles, since an item that is properly rolled it can be worth between 20 and 50 times its value if it is not upgraded.

Requirements

Item upgrading allows players to increase the level of their available equipment - weapons, armor, and trinkets that are above ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate items and currencies to an item upgrader NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces boost the defense of the base set and upgrades to weapon items boost their base damage as well as the required strength and dexterity.

All items can be upgraded up to five times, except for hero gear, which can have eight upgrades. Every time you upgrade an object, it has a chance of failing. The failure rate increases as you move beyond the maximum number. Failures will cause the item to go back to its original condition, which requires the user to spend more materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the maximum number of upgrades.

If an item isn't upgraded the experience bar in its growth bar will reset to zero. The item also loses any bonuses it earned, such as chances to be crit attack damage, additional effects (such as an increase in healing over time or the speed of reloading). The player is able to use their weapon or armor after the failure.

When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from the lowest to the highest. This means that if a weapon gains an increase in its crit chance it will be applied before any increase in attack damage. Slots is a brand new attribute that has been added to item definitions. The value is recalculated every time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is determined on the rarity rating and number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading equipment that is not premium is equal to its value. For example an item of common use could have five upgrades at a cost of. 25,600 Technology Points and a 4x Quality Improvement Chance--whereas hero quality items will have an incredibly lower cost for each additional upgrade.

Premium items have different requirements for upgrading than standard gear--for instance, they might require fewer sowels but more minerals and erons. However, players must visit the NPC [Armorthe ] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they want to upgrade. In addition to the upgrade costs listed above, each upgrade requires a different amount of the ingredients needed to upgrade.
