The door handles made of uPVC/Composite are made of robust materials and are perfect for multi-point lock doors that require a heavy duty design. The handles are inline and work with the same spindle as well as screw fixings, so they can be easily fitted to doors made of uPVC/Composite, either new or old.

Once you have the proper PZ size you will then have to ensure that the lever pads and push pads are in a suitable shape for the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) approved handles you need for your doors. They are usually a square or round design with an internal lever and an external push pad.

Additionally, certain cylinders come with additional features that increase security even more, like anti-drill or anti-bump properties.

To ensure that the euro cylinder is of the right size for your door, it must be measured correctly. The cylinder should be measured from the central fixing screw hole to each end of the cylinder including the thumb turn if you have one. It is recommended to do this with the lock in place, but in the event that this is not possible, you can remove it to measure. It is essential to ensure that there is no cylinder that extends beyond the handle or escutcheon. This could make it vulnerable to snapping lock attacks.

The design of the latest cylinders comes with anti-drilling as well as bump resistance features. These are designed to reduce attacks by forcing cylinders to rotate in a different direction. This will help to stop the attack and keep your doors safe.

There are also cylinders that have been made to resist snapping. This is an increasingly common kind of attack on cylinders where the break line inside the lock is attacked with a special tool to break the front of the cylinder and allow the door to open. Spring Cassette

The spring cassette is located inside the base of your door handle backplate providing a sprung solution and returning your multipoint lock handles to their original position after usage. There was a time when handles of this kind didn't have a spring built into them, and without it they are more likely to slide or 'drop' once the locking mechanism has been disengaged. Adding this simple component is one of the best methods to correct this issue and is an effective way to keep your doors made of upvc from getting stuck in either closed or open position, as these are not always easy to manually close by hand.

These spring cassettes have been specifically designed for use with multipoint locks sprung They will not work with multipoint handles that are not sprung and you must have a hole specifically cut in your backplate to allow these to fit (please see image for technical diagram). They are a replacement for existing broken or missing cassettes within the backplates of door handles of numerous brands of upvc chrome door handles doors. They are sold as one unit.
