World of Warcraft - item upgrader Upgrading

The item upgrade lets players boost an item's gear rating up 700 points and also give it a bonus. Items can be upgraded if they are in your inventory and you take them to the Kiln.

Certain items are worth upgrading because of their unique stats. (For example an excellently rolled breakpoint armor used in melee PvP). Other items, like weapons don't really change after an upgrade, and aren't worth it.

Weapons

Upgrades to weapons can increase their numerical stats, including attack damage, crit chance and PvE/PvP damage. Weapons come with a flat rate bonus that increases damage per second. A lot of weapons also come with a fixed bonus which is activated when three or more identical weapons are placed in a unit. This bonus may exceed the damage that a weapon upgrade item alone can do.

The cost of upgrading a weapon depends on its rarity and level. For example, an +2 weapon requires two standard Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade the weapon will continue to increase until it requires a higher tier of Smithing Stones, at which the amount will be reset to one.

Upgrades to weapons also reroll the stats of their base. While this is usually beneficial however, it could have negative effects as well. In the case of items that are only used in a particular build (Whistant's shield for FB sorcs, for instance) upgrading them can render them useless unless you happen to have an extremely lucky roll.

Armor items can also be upgraded to boost their performance. This can boost the base defense of a chest or helm as well as belts and gloves. These will boost their required strength and agility. Armor also offers an option to reroll its Enhanced Defense percent, which means that it may reroll to a lower value.

The upgrade template for a weapon displays the new stats that it will gain upon upgrading in addition to their respective values. This means that the weapon will gain 33% attack damage when it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. The 3% difference does not mean that the weapon will strike 3 times less, as it is an absolute number.

Rerolling a weapon is also possible by pressing the green button on the item upgrading menu, using the circling arrows. This will reroll an item and change its statistics, but it will not reset the weapon's levels, or bind it to account status.

Armor

A few upgrades to your armor can make all the difference to your survival. Certain sets can offer MASSIVE boosts to poison, curse, fire and magic resistance, which can make traversing tough areas a breeze. Generally speaking, the more defense your character is, the more value you get from every point of health and it's crucial to upgrade your armor as often as you can.

To improve your armor, head to one of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four Great Fairy Fountains in the game and in order to unlock each fountain, you have to complete a side quest that involves the Stable Trotters. After you've completed the main side quest and mastered the fountain that corresponds you'll be able to talk to any Great Fairy to open up the armor upgrade menu.

The amount of materials required to upgrade each piece of armor will vary. You'll need anywhere between three Red Chuchu jelly and 10 Rupees to upgrade your first armor piece, and between five Rubies or item Upgrade 10 Fire-Breath Horns to upgrade each subsequent one. For instance, the Champion Leathers can be upgraded to +5 defense, allowing you to keep pace with a large group of adversaries in most cold conditions, and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded up to +20 defense, granting you enough protection to survive the full-on assault with a few friends.

Be aware that armor can't be upgraded in the same way as weapons, so you'll want to concentrate on upgrading it for physical power if you're a Warrior or Spell Power if you're a Mage. It's also a good idea to save your armor upgrades for the armor you'll be wearing at the end of the game, such as the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield or the helmet you use to fight the final boss as well as the Monter Parts merchant's mask.

You can also gain benefits to your armor by giving the jeweler in Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. Generally speaking, you'll want to keep these upgrades for the weapon you'll use to win the game, such as the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer however, it could be beneficial to have a few upgrades of the chest armor and helmets that let you stealthy battle certain monsters.

Potions

Trinkets

The upgrade of a trinket can be a cost-effective alternative to purchasing new ones. It can be done by a player for just 12 tokens. The new trinket will have the same base level as the previous trinket but will also have an additional bonus of 1% upgrade.

When the old Trinkets are not usable, they can be upgraded. This allows players to increase both their power and value with time. They can also be traded between players and are a popular alternative to gold.

In general players should upgrade their top-priority items first. This means that the Best item upgrade-in slot items for each class are upgraded first then their secondary gear, and then other pieces of equipment they will not replace in the near future (such as rings or cloaks). When choosing which items to upgrade, players should be aware of their class's preferred statistics. For instance, if Haste and item upgrade Crit are the two most important stats for a tank, they should be focusing on upgrading their chest, helm, shoulders, and belt.

Trinkets can be re-upgraded to a higher level once they're no longer needed, and the new trinket can be upgraded to have an additional bonus of 1% for upgrading. However, a re-upgrade will cause the trinket to be destroyed, unless it is saved using the Black Lion Salvage Kit or a higher-tier salvage tool. Upgrades to trinkets can be more expensive than other upgrades, but still cheaper than buying new ones.
