Its LiDAR and laser sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs, meaning it is sometimes stuck or confused in certain rooms or corners of the house. It's also not able to climb stairs as well as other models and isn't equipped with a dock to create a cleaning zone for carpets with plush padding.

Although it doesn't have as much in the way of cleaning configuration options in its app, or as many in-app shortcuts as other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for those looking for an all-around great robot vacuum and mop that's worth the premium price price.

If you're looking to save money or aren't concerned about the limitations of the robot, there are plenty of other options on the market. Many of the eufy models cost substantially less. The Eufy Qrevo curv, for instance is less expensive however it comes with many more features, like stair climbing and a full-function Dock, which provides an improved overall experience when vacuuming on bare floors carpets, low-pile carpets as well as high-pile ones.

It also has border strips that block it from certain areas. The G30 is more affordable and simpler to maintain. Its smaller dust container does not require emptying as often and it struggles less with bulky material such as cereal.
