BMW Ghost Immobiliser

The Ghost utilizes the data bus CAN to communicate with your vehicle. This prevents thieves from replacing the ECU or putting in an additional lock to circumvent the security system.

Like other immobilisers, unlike other immobilisers, the Ghost does not use LEDs or key fobs. It relies on the buttons of your vehicle to allow you to enter a unique disarming sequence that you can only remember.

Stop & Start

If you've ever driven a BMW or utilized its stop-start feature, you might have noticed that the engine continues to run for 30 seconds after you have released the brake pedal. This is due to the BMW engine management system constantly monitoring your vehicle for an ignition key, and once this is found it will continue to run. Our BMW ghost immobiliser, a next-generation device, does not require cutting OEM wires or install keys or alarms that are made by an aftermarket company. It is hooked up to the BMW's CAN data network and is programmed with an encrypted, secure PIN code which is accessible via buttons that are installed in your car. Service Mode / Valet Mode

The Ghost is the leading immobiliser available. It stops your vehicle from being taken by hacking or key cloning. It utilizes the factory buttons on your vehicle to create a unique push sequence that only you can identify. It is similar to the pin code security of your mobile phone. If you're parked at your home or in a meet and greet situation when you are at a meet and greet, the Ghost can be set to service mode. This allows you to start the vehicle using your keys, but it stops the engine from starting again until the correct code is entered. This is great for those who need to give their vehicles to valet services, or trusted family members and friends. This allows you to take your car to the garage for servicing, etc. without worrying that it might be modified by mechanics while you are waiting.

When the service or valet mode is enabled, it will stop your BMW from being able to drive once started, this prevents anyone from test driving while you are away. When you return, it will return to normal, preventing your vehicle from being damaged or stolen once again.

We can mount the Ghost to any BMW, all you need is the right keys as the device doesn't use the original remotes, and can be used with them. You can also track your vehicle's location on the map in real-time using your smartphone.

The Ghost can be positioned in the dashboard area, or within the centre console. It is completely hidden and tamper-proof. It does not need any additional wiring. The device is connected to the CAN Data Network of the vehicle (similar to Ethernet cable) and a personal pin code is programmed into it. This pin code needs to be chosen prior to the vehicle's start. This stops thieves from gaining access to the system with an unauthorized clone or replacement ECU.

If the vehicle is stolen in any way, the Ghost will enter a security mode and disables all functions unless the PIN code is entered, or you can use the mobile app to disarm it.
