WoW Item Upgrades

Item upgrades--more commonly known as "upping"--are items and enchantments that can be incorporated into weapons and armor pieces to boost their effectiveness. These upgrade components add a certain number of points to a level gauge for the item, with their costs scaling with their rarity.

The melee PvP scene is highly influenced by the perfect roll of armor due to its ability reduce weapon damage.

Type-restricted upgrades

The upgrading process is an essential part of the crafting process. They can improve an item level upgrade's stats as well as make it stronger or weaker and even provide a bonus effect. They can also change the appearance of an item. While certain upgrades are universal, others have special rules for armor or weapons. The wrong upgrade can ruin a weapon that was otherwise amazing, or even render it unusable.

The general rule is that you should only upgrade items a piece of equipment to the standard of the highest-level gear in its class. This means that you can upgrade the helms, body armors and gloves and shields to the same level as their top-of-the-line counterparts. Weapons can be upgraded to the level equivalent of a sword. Upgrading an item fills up its diamond-shaped indicator. Each step raises the item's Tier level by one-third. Tier 3 is the highest level. It is important to note that any procedures that might be used to mount a disk shouldn't be running during an upgrade. Enchantment is a feature which lets you transform white or Common items into rare or blue ones. Eleanor's Enchantment Shop, located in the Capital District is where you can do it. The process can be classified into two types that are complete success and partial failure.

It's similar to the way resort upgrades work at Disney or Universal. In the case of WDW the majority of them occur due to operational needs like overbooking or room availability. In the case Universal this could be to move guests to a different resort that is open. This is not intended as an insult, but in the current economic climate, it might be impossible to avoid.

In contrast to Runes, Sigils and Jewels which can only be applied to specific kinds of equipment (armor weapons, trinkets or weapons), universal upgrades can be applied to any type of gear. They can also be applied to multiple items at a time. They are therefore more versatile than any other upgrade type. However, this flexibility could cause problems when upgrading items in a specific gear path, because it increases the item level of all pieces in that path.

Jewels

Jewel tiers are determined by the number of modifiers they have which means that higher-tier jewels have more modifiers than lower-tier ones. The primary effect is determined by the jewel's tier. The secondary effect is random. Players can use luck potions to increase their chances of obtaining more beneficial secondary effects.

Jewels can be incorporated into items with matching sockets similar to other upgrade components. For example, a Garnet Pebble (gemstone) and an Adorned Garnet Jewel (jewel) both provide a bonus to strength, however the Garnet Pebble will only increase regular hits, while the Garnet Jewel also boosts the player's powerful attacks. Jewels can be put into every level of armor, weapon and accessory slots, and some trinkets of lesser rarity or exotic that require a slot that is not used.

Like other DM mechanics, gems can help to ensure that items are special to their owners. Jewels come with a variety of upgrade options that let players customize and find the perfect combination for their needs. They can upgrade their gear by purchasing new gems if they feel that the initial set is no longer the best.

Requirements

The WoW item upgrade system allows players to increase the item level of equipment, weapons and trinkets to their current level using specific Mists Of Pandaria or Warlords Of Draenor resources. These upgrades boost the stats of items and some even have special effects. (For instance Dolphin's grace grants swimmers the same grace as dolphins). These upgrades can be obtained through any upgrader NPC or by salvaging the items that contain them, with different types of items dropping various upgrade components.

The upgrade process can be a bit complex, but it is straightforward. The player selects the item he wants to upgrade, and then clicks on the Upgrade button. A window will pop up with the different upgrades available for the item upgrader mod. The window will show the upgrade level, the upgrade type bonus (such a Tech Points or a Quality Chance) and the cost of upgrading. The upgrade level is shown in an upper bar on the top of the screen, and the upgrade type bonus is displayed below it.

If the player decides to make an upgrade, the item upgrader mod will be taken to the NPC who upgraded the item who will explain the procedure for upgrading the item. The player will then need to supply the correct currency and, if required, additional materials. These requirements are based on the item level, with weapons typically having higher requirements than armor.

Many upgrade recipes include a list of 'Acceptable Material as well as the components required. This list also includes other upgrade components that can be used to upgrade an item. It also includes an indicator that tells you whether or not it is a guarantee of a boost. This is important because the value of an upgrade can differ greatly based on its "extras.' For example an item that is properly rolled could be worth much more than the non-upgraded version.
