Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade

The stats of an item are improved by upgrading it, also referred to as "upping". Each upgrade increment results in an increase in linearity of the stats of a particular.

Players can recycle six items at once to gauge the upgraded component of each item. The cost of recycling items scales with their rarity and item upgrading level.

Upgrade components

In Guild Wars 2, an upgrade to an item is a method to increase the stats of your weapons and armor. This can be achieved through a variety of methods, including by using upgrade components or increasing an item's rarity or mark level. A lot of items can be reforged to increase their value.

Upgradeable items can be found all over the game, both in the world and as rewards for missions. Players can also craft them. Upgrade components are the most common method of upgrading equipment. These are the items that slot into equipment. Most equipment comes with upgrade slots, and the majority require a certain upgrade level. Some upgrade components offer specific bonuses, while others give a general bonus.

There are several types of upgrade item components available in the game, including universal upgrades, inscriptions, and jewels. Universal upgrades, like gems and enchantments, are able to be placed in any equipment type and offer fewer bonuses than those that are equipment type specific to the type of equipment. Glyphs are only available in gathering tools and offer a variety of bonuses, ranging from increasing the speed at which an item gathers to providing extra crafting materials.

Choose the item from your inventory, and then open the Upgrade window. The window will show an overview on the right side of the screen that shows the expected stats after the upgrade, as well as any required components or materials. If you don't have enough of either the upgrade button will show as Blocked.

The amount of upgrade components required for a particular item can be seen in the upper-right corner of the Upgrade window. Almost all weapons can be upgraded by the use of a prefix upgrade for example, an insignia or a rune, and many are upgraded by suffix upgrades. The exceptions are the non-inscribable wands, the foci and shields from the Prophecies and Factions campaigns, which are not upgradeable with any kinds of mods in any way.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be a powerful tool for communicating visual information. They animate to capture the attention of the viewer and stimulate interest in the brain. The glyphs' animation mimics body language, which makes them more effective in conveying the message across linguistic barriers. Glyphs also evoke a sense of familiarity in the brain, thereby increasing retention of the message.

Each glyph comes with a range of values that it could improve a stat by according to the item when you open the glyph in the Glyph Storage or when you use them to enchant an Artifact. This isn't the exact amount at the glyph can increase the stat, but rather the maximum amount it is able to do so. The value of the glyph is contingent on the tier and the quality of the item you are in awe of.

Most upgrade components slotted into items cannot be repaired or replaced without dismantling the equipment in question, unless it is legendary equipment and upgrades. If you have a glyph or rune you don't want to use, but it hasn't been applied to gear yet, you can move the item to another piece by using the Upgrade Glyphs menu within the Glyphs Panel. This will create the new Glyph Set with the selected glyph.

If you wish to remove a glyph from a piece of you must salvage it with an Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool. The item where the glyph is located will be destroyed, however the upgraded item can be recovered with the glyph shards.

Adding a glyph to an item may cause it to become unstable, and the shards that are left of that glyph will disappear from your inventory when you remove the item upgrader mod. You can also add an inscription to your equipment to make it more valuable. For example, the glyph Deferred Damage can store damage for the wearer and then deal it out slowly instead of all at once. This is useful for players who take many hits from their enemies but don't want to be overwhelmed.

Reroll tokens

Reroll tokens allow players to change the affixes of their weapons and equipment and they can be obtained in various ways such as in mistery boxes or as rare drops from skulled creatures, or by killing bosses. Each reroll gives the player a random affix that is typically better than what they had before. Reroll tokens can be used to boost the weapon's stats to increase damage or bonuses.

Items that have been rerolled may not appear in the upgrade menu, however, they can still receive upgrades. If you click the "upgrade button" you can recycle these recycled items. This will change the layout of the item's window, and allow up to six items to be selected to recycle. Recycling an item can add a small amount of points to its gauge of level. The amount is determined by the Best item upgrader's rarity as well as its level, therefore higher-level items are more valuable to recycle than lower level ones.

Players can also use Reroll Tokens and Star Remnants to reroll Weapon Traits for upgraded units. A reroll will roll the percentage chance of a weapon trait. If it rolls higher, the weapon is upgraded, and if it is lower, the weapon remains unchanged. Weapons can be upgraded up to 3 times.

Rerolling is a great way to upgrade an item. However, players must be aware that the total ilvl will be decreased by the number of rerolls it took to get it to the final ilvl. This effect of lowering is most effective for Diadems and ring items, which have no other options for raising ilvls.

Some players have complained that the reroll system is expensive. It's more fair to allow players to pay for it with money or food items that will allow them to make changes to their builds without having to invest excessive amounts of time. The developers do not plan to offer paid rerolls in this stage in the game's development. Instead, they're planning add a race change potion in the future.

Leveling

There are many ways to upgrade an item. The first method of leveling up an item upgrade is by increasing the amount of upgrade. This increases the upgrade item value for a stat. The second option is to boost the effect of the upgrade, which increases the damage or healing of an individual stat. The base item can be upgraded to a more advanced upgrade type. The new item will retain its iLevel, but will have the upgraded effects of the upgraded item.

It is crucial to keep in mind that upgrades can be random. In most cases, a better roll will be derived from glyphs, however there are also opportunities for greater or special rolls. The type of the item will determine the iLevel. If you upgrade items a rare or unique item to a specific kind of item, it's likely to gaining an additional level.

Upgrading items can be costly especially if you're upgrading a piece of equipment from a standard to the legendary track. The iLevel can also change depending on the item's upgrade path and base level. For example the weapon that has been upgraded from a unique or rare to a rare or exceptional item will have a chance to be upgraded to the Enhanced Defense of the base type of item.
