World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades increase the value of certain numeric stats on weapons, armor and rings. Upgrades can also boost bonuses like crit chance and PvE Damage.

For example an item with the upgrade template ending in % will take on 3damage to attack each time it is upgraded (relative to its previous value).

Components

Upgrade components can be incorporated into weapons, armor and trinkets in order to provide them with a boost in stats or an extra effect. These can be obtained through crafting, buying from vendors, trading or looting. Some upgrades have special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be inserted into equipment with a slot for them; the item must be at least upgraded to the blue level to allow a component to be inserted. Upgrade components, unlike other modifications, can only be applied only once. They cannot be replaced or applied multiple times. Infusions and enrichments are a particular kind of upgrade component that is that is designed for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment as well as the back items that are not ascending. Infusions and enrichments can be recovered by salvaging gear that is ascended or completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix can be added to an upgrade, changing the name of the item level upgrade it's used on (for instance, 'Canthan Armor Insignia',' changes to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase the Mark Level or Rarity, which allows players to create stronger versions of the equipment with fewer Upgrade Crystals than are required to reach the same level of upgrade through normal methods.

A boost upgrade can change the attack or defense attributes of a weapon, or armor. Once the player has completed the cutscene and defeated the Crazed Mechanist These upgrades can be made at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades are available for purchase them in the cash shop, or by obtaining them from enemies when upgrading other equipment.

The player can get the maximum of five boost upgrades at one time; each upgrade increases the likelihood that a better-quality version of the item will be available during the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to continue improving their equipment, even if they're unsure of how much it will increase after a future reset.

The process of upgrading an item can be costly and it is likely that the item will eventually become obsolete, or even break, if the upgrade is unsuccessful. Upgrade Crystals and assist powders are also destroyed when the upgrade fails. This is alleviated by the availability cash shop items that can double or even eliminate the chance of failure, and a few upgrades that give the benefit of being reinserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to improve the Paragon Board by placing them in special sockets. Glyphs can boost the performance of nodes within a radius, including any existing affixes. Glyphs can be upgraded a variety of ways, and we suggest getting them to level 15 as soon as possible.

It is commonplace to see in the final game that placing Glyphs is the best method to upgrade your gear. They are the only upgrade component which can be upgraded to level 15 and provide a significant boost to your power on the Paragon Board.

Glyphs, which is the only upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and then replaced with no restrictions are the most commonly used. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires an Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and re-place.

Each Glyph has a specific range of values it can improve a stat by. The value is displayed when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with a different Glyph of the same rank or higher rank, which will increase the value of the Glyph.

You can find Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of the Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain unlimited-use gathering tools, and through Faction Crypt raids. Each Faction Crypt has a chance to drop one of the numerous Glyphs, and there are some rare glyphs that can be found in the form of drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

When you have the desired Glyphs then you have to put them on your equipment. Each Glyph will grant a distinct bonus that can boost a particular set of stat nodes in the vicinity of the Glyph. This will either be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats based on the Glyph.

Glyphs will increase the number of nodes connected to them, so it is best to put Glyphs in strategic spots on the Graph. This will maximize the impact. For instance, a Druid should try to place their Glyphs near their primary damage points, but you should also be sure to place them near the most critical damage nodes too.

Leveling

The item upgrading system lets players increase the effectiveness of certain items by placing upgraded components in them. This is often referred to as "upping". Each upgradeable item level upgrade comes with a level that determines its upgraded stats. Upgraded items may be leveled up to a maximum level of 385. Each item level requires a different amount of components, and the upgrade costs increase as the item is leveled up.

Some upgrades require a special ingredient to activate. This ingredient can be obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table, or bought from NPCs. Each completed Upgrade Recipe yields several Technology Points. These points can be used to leveling up an item. Once enough points are earned you'll be eligible to claim the upgrade and also receive the bonuses.

When the player upgrades an item to a higher level, the original item is replaced with a different item of the same type. The same armor will be upgraded to an weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item will also have a unique bonus. This could be a problem because it can cause the item to become more expensive if you don't need it.

Upgrades to items can be rerolled, if the player has enough tokens to be able to do so. This causes the item to be exchanged for a brand new one, with the level 1 base, and a totally different set of extra bonuses. This can be useful, but should not be repeated often since it could waste resources.

Certain upgrades can be rerolled many times to increase their value, allows the player to modify their gear. An excellent example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an increase in power when a player repeatedly enters and exits water (or does not swim as dolphins). This item can be upgraded multiple times, increasing the maximum roll each time by 10 increments. Requirements

The upgrader for items allows players to increase the level of their equipment (armor weapons, armor trinkets, and weapons) above ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces also boost the defense base of the item, and upgrading weapons will increase the damage base as well as the required strength and dexterity to meet the upgraded equipment's requirements.

Each item can be upgraded up to five times, with the exception of hero gear which can be upgraded with eight upgrades. Every when you upgrade an item, it has the chance to fail. The rate of failure increases as you go beyond the maximum number of upgrades. Failures will cause the item to go to its initial condition, which requires the user to spend more materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the highest number of upgrades.

If an item is not upgraded the experience bar on its growth bar will be reset to zero. The item will also lose any bonuses it gained, such as crit chance damage to attack, additional effects (such as an increase in healing over time or the speed of reloading). If an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied in order from the lowest to the highest. The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is determined on the rarity rating and number of upgrade slots. The cost for upgrading non-premium items is the same as the base value of the upgrade--for example, a common equipment item may have five upgrades at a cost of 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero quality items are less expensive per upgrade.

Premium items have different requirements for upgrading than standard gear--for instance, they might require fewer sowels but more minerals and erons. Players will still have to carry every piece of gear they wish to upgrade to the NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine. Each upgrade to equipment requires different amounts of ingredients needed to upgrade, in addition to the cost listed above.
