WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a boost in specific statistics. Each upgrade boosts the level of the item upgrader mod by +3. A random additional substat is also added to every upgrade.

The upgraded gear is usually more valuable, unless the item has low requirements by nature (like FB sorc shields) or a high stat variance (like eth Titan weapons). Upgrades aren't as valuable for the latter due to the requirement to roll a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear by offering the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied on any kind of armor or weapons. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and can't be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create enchantments.

You can upgrade your equipment anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To keep your gear up-to-date it is recommended you visit the upgrader each several weeks.

For instance, it's best to utilize all of your Whelpling rank crests with the Best item upgrader equipment available and then save Drake and Wyrm crests for the next batch of upgrades you're planning to make. This is especially true for items like trinkets and rings that occupy multiple slots on the character that will be able to benefit from the account-wide discount when all of the slots are filled with top-quality equipment.
