Greenpower Mobility - All-Energy Medium and Heavy-Duty Vehicles

greenpower scooter creates and distributes a complete range of low-floor and high-floor all-electric power scooters heavy-duty and medium-duty vehicles. This includes transit buses, school cargo buses, buses for cargo, and shuttles.

EV Star is a highly customizable zero-emission vehicle that's fully FTA certified, Altoona tested and Buy America certified. It comes with a world-class range and ADA wheelchair provisions. It also offers cargo delivery setups.

EV Star

GreenPower Motor Company manufactures a complete line of heavy and medium-duty electric vehicles, including models with lower and high floors. The EV Star Cab & Chassis is their flagship vehicle, Green power mobility and it is able to be adapted to suit a wide range of applications. The platform's design philosophy of clean sheets allows the best battery pack placement and Power mobility Scooter lower center of gravity resulting in better payload to range ratios.

The EV Star REEFERX is designed to serve mid to last mile refrigerated delivery as well as catering applications. The refrigerated truck's class 4 configuration's one wall structure in the interior and higher insulation compared to traditional trucks allow for seamless sanitation, better temperature control, and a longer life. The EV Star REEFERX provides superior capacity for cargo, and an industry-leading payload to allow for zero emission transport of passengers or goods.

GreenPower has collaborated with Perrone Robotics to up-fit the EV Star with their TONY (To Navigate You) autonomous vehicle system. This will allow fleets to quickly change to autonomous vehicles. The AV Star will also be able to support wireless charging of 75 kW.

We were allowed to test drive the EV9 on a local highway for several hours and found it to be easy to drive, and comfortable to drive for long distances. The ride is smooth on bumps and ruts, while the EV9 does an excellent job of reducing wind and road noise on the highway. The acceleration is surprisingly quick, and the car comes with adjustable regenerative braking to enable "one pedal driving" by simply lifting off of the accelerator.

The EV9 has excellent range and can be fully recharged within three hours at home or using any commercial charger. Drivers can select between two operating modes that include eco mode and sports mode. Eco mode prioritizes torque and cruise control, as well as handling, while sport mode increases speed. Both modes are fun to drive, and offer an experience unlike any other for those who have never experienced driving an electric vehicle before.

GreenPower offers several other eVehicles, including a multipurpose all-electric minibus called the EV Star. The EV Star is ADA compliant and can be used as an executive shuttle, micro-transit or transit vanpool, bus, or a paratransit vehicle.

GreenPower is already producing about 10 EV Star buses per month for the Jacksonville Transit Authority, which is working to replace their fleet of old diesel vehicles with 100 fully electric vehicles. With the Biden Administration planning to electrify school buses across the country, GreenPower plans on ramping up production to meet demand. Their EV Star buses are the first of their kind to be Altoona tested and FMVSS certified. They are Buy America compliant, and ADA conforming. This means they'll be eligible for federal transit assistance grants. We will be following the AV Star as it goes on its demonstration tour in the coming months.
