Greenpower Mobility - All-Energy Medium and Heavy-Duty Vehicles

Greenpower designs, manufactures and distributes the entire range of medium- and heavy-duty electric vehicles. This includes school cargo buses, buses for cargo, and shuttles.

EV Star is a highly customizable zero-emission vehicle that's fully FTA certified, Altoona tested and Buy America compliant. It has a class-leading range and ADA wheelchair provisions. It also offers cargo delivery configurations.

The EV Star Cab & Chassis is their most popular vehicle and it is able to be adapted to suit a variety of applications. The platform's design is based on a simple paper that allows for optimal placement of the battery and a lower center of gravity. This results in better range/payload ratios.

The EV Star REEFERX was developed for mid-to-last mile refrigerated deliveries and catering applications. The refrigerated truck's class 4 configuration's one wall structure inside and higher insulation levels compared to traditional trucks enable seamless sanitation, better temperature control and a more extended life. The EV Star REEFERX offers superior capacity for cargo and a world-class payload to range ratio for zero emission passenger transport and goods.

GreenPower partnered with Perrone Robotics in order to equip the EV Star with TONY (To navigate you) autonomous vehicle systems. This will enable fleets to easily transition to autonomous vehicles. The AV Star can also be wirelessly charging up to 75 kW.

We had the chance to test drive the EV9 for a few hours on a local highway and found it to be a breeze to drive and comfortable for long distances. The EV9 can be used to block the sound of traffic and wind driving along the highway. It is smooth on bumps and ruts. The acceleration is quite fast and the car has adjustable regenerative brakes that allow "one pedal driving" by taking off the accelerator.

The EV9 is extremely reliable and can be fully charged in just three hours at home or using any commercial charger. The driver can select from two operating modes: eco mode and sport mode. The eco mode is a preference for torque and cruise control while the sport mode maximizes speed and handling. Both are fun to drive and provide an experience unlike any other for those who have never been in an Electric Mobility Scooter Fastest vehicle before.

GreenPower offers several other eVehicles, including a multipurpose all-electric minibus, called the EV Star. The EV Star is ADA compliant and can be used as an executive shuttle, micro-transit or transit vanpool, bus, or green Power Mobility paratransit vehicle.

GreenPower is already producing about 10 EV Star buses a month for the Jacksonville Transit Authority, which is attempting to replace their fleet of diesel vehicles with 100 all-electric scooter green vehicles. With the Biden Administration planning to electrify schools across the nation, GreenPower plans on ramping production to meet demand. Their EV Star bus is the first of its kind to be tested by Altoona and FMVSS-certified, Buy America compliant and ADA conforming. This means they'll be eligible for federal assistance in transit. We will be following the AV Star as it goes on its demonstration tour in later this year. We will share more details on this exciting electric vehicle.
