WoW Item Upgrades

Item upgrades, also referred as "upping", are items or enchantments that improve the performance of weapons and armor. These upgrade items increase the gauge of an item by a certain number of points. The cost of these upgrades increases depending on their rarity.

The melee PvP scene highly values an optimally rolled version of the armor for its ability to reduce damage from weapons.

Type-restricted upgrades

The process of upgrading is an essential aspect of the crafting process. They can improve the stats of an item and make it stronger or weaker, and even provide a bonus effect. They can also alter the appearance of an item. Certain upgrades are universal, while others are governed by specific rules for weapons and armor. A bad upgrade can destroy the weapon that was previously fantastic, and even make it useless.

As a rule you can only upgrade the equipment you have to the level of its highest-level counterpart. You can only upgrade helms up to the highest level. Weapons on the other hand can be upgraded to the level of a sword. This doesn't increase the weapon's power of damage and can reduce the value of trade.

You can upgrade an item by using crests or flightstones. The amount you pay for each depends on the item's level and slot. Upgrades to a sword, for example, will cost more flightstones than an upgrade of the cloth. You can also get discounts on the number of crests and flightstones needed to upgrade an item.

The diamond-shaped indicator on an item is filled up when it is upgraded. Each step raises Tier level by one-third. The highest level of Tier is Tier 3. It may take different upgrades to reach this level, based on the item. It is crucial to remember that any processes that mount a disk should not be run during an upgrade. It is crucial to know because the value of an upgraded item can vary significantly depending on the 'extras' it has, with well rolled gear being worth a lot more than those that are not upgraded.

For the kinds of upgrades that require crests or valorstones, these will be listed in a separate list beneath the main list. The number of crests and the valorstones needed depends on the item's level. Upgrades to weapons require the most Valorstones.
