It comes with a massive 4600mAh battery that lasts for up to 170-minutes when mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can run longer in turbo). It will even return to its dock to replenish its battery mid-clean.

It's efficient and does an outstanding job of cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It vacuums the carpeted areas extremely quickly, and the hardwood floors in the hallways, and living room in a single sweep. Its suction motor of 8,000pa makes short work of picking up dirt, droppings, and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it encounters rugs and the two side brushes help pull away debris from corners.

The mopping performance, while still impressive, is not as effective. The mop rotates at a high speed and it pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly scrubbing up dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm extends out a little more than other robots. This is helpful when getting into narrow corners or along baseboards. Those same front arms can be employed to clean larger objects, such as broken toys and fallen books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've tested. It doesn't make the same amount of noise while vacuuming or mopping and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only downside is that the S1 Pro must use a proprietary cleaning solution for mopping and is sold separately from the vacuum. It's simple to install and performs well however this is something that you'll need to keep an eye on in case you're purchasing this vacuum solely for the reason of mopping.

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that mops in our review, however it also has unique features that make it worth a look. The X1 Omni's most appealing feature is its enormous dock that serves as the robot's charging base and housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a sink for cleaning and a 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically empties.

The base has a couple of buttons for control that allow you to manually begin a cleaning task and then recall the robot or run the dock's best automatic vacuum and mop emptying procedure. Press two of the buttons to toggle a child lock which is a great touch for parents worried about children playing with the vacuum.

Similar to other robotic vacuums, the X1 Omni uses its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path, and then avoid them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

Unfortunately this means that the X1 Omni can occasionally become so entangled with an obstacle--such as a power cord draped across a rug that it becomes stuck and ceases to function until you free it. This is a rare event, but frustrating nonetheless, since the X1 does not have a "stuck status" alert on its app.

Another possible issue is one of the biggest drawbacks is X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between vacuuming and mopping modes during cleaning. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't a big deal apart from the fact that mopping pads aren't cleaned and dried between uses and can cause mildew or mold.

On the bright side, the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who dreamed up its modern, sleek base and mopping pad. It's a significant contrast to the utilitarian, all-black bases used by competitors like Roborock and iRobot and is a refreshing view in a market which is dominated by clunky, boxy units.
