Greenpower Mobility - All-Energy Medium and Heavy-Duty Vehicles

greenpower scooter creates manufactures and distributes a variety of heavy and medium-duty electric vehicles. This includes school buses, transit buses, cargo buses, buses for cargo, Electric Scooter green and shuttles.

EV Star is a zero-emission vehicle that has a high degree of personalization. It's also fully FTA certified and Buy America compliant. It has a class-leading range and ADA wheelchair-friendly features. It also offers cargo delivery setups.

EV Star

GreenPower Motor Company manufactures a complete range of heavy- and medium-duty all-electric vehicles, including models with lower and high floors. Their flagship vehicle is the EV Star Cab & Chassis platform, which can be used to accommodate various body designs and upgrades for a variety of applications. The platform's clean sheet design allows the best battery pack placement and a lower center of gravity resulting in higher payload to range ratios.

The EV Star REEFERX is designed to meet the needs of mid-to-last mile refrigerated delivery as well as catering applications. The refrigerated truck's class 4 configuration's one wall structure in the interior and higher insulation than traditional trucks enable seamless sanitation, improved temperature control and a more extended life. The EV Star REEFERX provides superior capacity for cargo, and an industry-leading payload to allow for zero emission freight or passenger transport.

GreenPower has partnered with Perrone Robotics in order to equip the EV Star with TONY (To navigate you) autonomous vehicle systems that will allow fleets to transition to autonomous vehicles. The AV Star can also be wirelessly charging up to 75 kW.

We were allowed to test drive the EV9 on an unpaved highway for several hours, and found it to be easy to drive and comfortable to drive over long distances. The ride is smooth and smooth over ruts and bumps, while the EV9 does an excellent job of reducing road noise and wind on the highway. The car's acceleration is surprisingly fast, and it comes with adjustable regenerative brakes to enable "one-pedal driving" simply by lifting off the accelerator.

greenpower scooter is already producing about 10 EV Star buses a month for the Jacksonville Transit Authority, which is attempting to replace their fleet of older diesel vehicles with 100 electric vehicles. With the Biden Administration planning to electrify school buses across the country, GreenPower plans on ramping production to meet the demand. Their EV Star bus is the first of its kind to be Altoona-tested and electric wheel Scooter FMVSS-certified, Buy America compliant and ADA compliant. This means that they are eligible for federal transit assistance grants. Check back for updates as we follow the AV Star on its tour of demonstration later this year.
