Testing is a bit tricky as there are two different connector pins and they perform different functions however the best method of testing it is to measure resistance between the sensor and the ECU. When the sensor is fully functional, it should read approximately 1000 ohms. Examine for evidence of coolant or oil in the connector bay if there are issues with this part.
2. Injectors
Yesterday, when accelerating from highway paytoll at maximum speed I noticed a massive reduction in power. It was as if the engine had run out of gas. Or, my injectors weren't firing. I took out the spark plugs this morning and found that 3 were drenched in gasoline and the 4th was dry. When i crank the engine without sparks i put tissue on the top of each of the injector holes and the 3 drenched with gazoline jump out but the 4th stay closed. I checked the ground connection of ECU pins 14,30, and 48/55. I got 0ohm. I'm assuming the issue is somewhere else.
I also tried to reset PID without success. The replacement car key audi can start if the G28 is not plugged in and is running fine when it is plugged in, but still has the intermittent misfire issue at higher RPM. The coolant sensor (G62) even when it is unplugged, shows temperatures of -49c. I also noticed that the oil pressure gauge in the cockpit is showing 2 bar when the actual pressure is 0.0 when I crank up the engine.
I'm not sure what to do. I feel like i've pretty much eliminated everything else. I'm worried that i might have missed something. Please let me know should you have any suggestions! TIA!

The fuel pump in the g28 can be activated by a signal sent from the RPM sensor. The GM-style transmitter is identical to the G4 sender and both work on the 80,100,200, UrS, and RS2 vehicles.
