Anna found it to be sturdy and secure when attached to her bed with the legs securely clicking into the frame and the zips securely secured to ensure baby safety. It took Anna about 10 minutes to put it together and didn't require any tools. There are clear instructions along with a video and customer support number in case you encounter any issues.

In addition to the standard features you'd expect from a crib that is bedside crib and cot, like being able to connect to your existing bed with a stay-in place connection system and six height levels, the CoZee has an additional incline option which can be used to help aid congestion or reflux in babies. It's also machine washable, a necessity with all the dribble, vomit and snot that comes with having a baby!

If you want to keep your baby bedside cot close during the first six months when they're learning to sleep independently, the CoZee is a great choice because it can be used as a stand-alone crib, changing table and toddler bed. With the addition of a sofa bed extension pack, it can be transformed into an actual bed. It won't feed your baby or magically sleep them it will rock them to send them off!

The Chicco Next2Me Magic

This is one of Chicco's more expensive options, but it is packed with lots of features. It's designed as an individual side sleeper or standalone crib, and is suitable from birth to six months. It comes with a new mechanism for opening and closing the side panel. It's simple to use, even for one-handed operation. It's also more adjustable than the predecessor, with 11 different height settings as well as retractable legs for a secure installation underneath any bed.

Our testers were impressed by the ease of use offered by the side panel, which can be moved upwards and downwards with just one push of a button. This was a huge benefit in feedings at night as it meant that they could easily reach inside and pick up their baby without waking them up.

The side panel can be removed by itself, too, but it's not recommended since it increases the risk of your baby falling out of the cot. Our testers found the Next2Me Magic easy to set up and use, however it comes with an extensive instruction manual. It's small enough to fit into its travel bag when not in use, which is an advantage in the event that you have to transport it. The only issue our test subjects found was that the side panel did not flex like some of the other models, which made it slightly harder to see your baby from your bed.
