Best Lightweight Single Stroller

This is the lightest and compact stroller for travel available. Its sleek design is easy to fold into a neat rectangle and the wheels spin more smoothly than other models.

The stroller also has a large storage area under the seat and a shoulder strap that makes it easier to transport when you're not pushing it. The canopy adjustment can be a bit noisy which can disturb children who are asleep.

1. Contours Itsy

The Contours Itsy is a compact stroller with a lot of features for its size. Its back under-seat basket is spring loaded, so you can lower it to put bags or diapers in, and it will open up to keep the contents. It has a child accessory holder as well as an adjustable reclining seat pad. This is more than what you see on a typical light stroller single.

It also has a canopy that can be shut and opened to ensure that you get the sun protection level you need. The handlebars are adjustable in height for a comfortable fit in four different positions. However, we weren't thrilled by the quality of its ride over rough terrain. We felt the suspension and wheels did not do a good job of absorbing shocks and bumps.

It's a great stroller for travel because it comes in the box fully assembled, and requires only few steps to get it in use. The seat can be moved forward and backwards to adjust the recline and is pretty flat. It's a cinch to fold and unfold because of two buttons on the frame. This stroller is an excellent option for those who require an easy-to-travel stroller. It comes with all the features parents would want in a stroller. This includes all-terrain wheels and front suspension for a smooth ride. It is also incredibly lightweight with less than 12 pounds. It can be folded with one hand and stands up on its own. It even has an adult tray and a child tray each with two cup holders.

Its design isn't excellent, and it didn't do well in our test of maneuverability. It also has a flexible frame that makes pushing it over rough surfaces feel like lifting a large weight. It may be fine if you only use the stroller on sidewalks that are paved. However, for most people it is not comfortable.

The Cloud Plus has a three-tier extended canopy and a peek-a-boo window to provide additional sun protection. The seat is multi-position and can accommodate children weighing up to 50 pounds and features a 5-point safety restraint system. This is a great feature for older toddlers who have outgrown infant car seats.

It's small and folds down in one step. It can be folded by pressing the button. It also has a convenient, foot-activated break that is simple to install and release.

However, the handle is a bit lower than many of the other strollers we tested and some parents might be uncomfortable for long durations. The handle is locked in position when it's opened. This is an excellent feature if you intend to use the stroller on uneven or gravelly terrain.

3. Munchkin Sparrow

The Munchkin Sparrow is the ultimate travel stroller for parents on the go. This compact stroller is easy to fold down and up, and fits easily in overhead compartments on planes, as well as in trunks at the amusement park (no worries about parking fees). It comes with a convenient zip bag for storage that is easy to carry. It is able to be used from birth using the infant car seat adapter, and offers a good amount of sun protection thanks to its canopy (though not as much as the Nuna TRVL or Uppababy Minu V2). The only issue for some parents is that they find the style to be dated and unfashionable.

The BabyZen Yoyo+ is a bit more expensive than the other lightweight cheap single pushchair strollers however, it was created specifically for luxurious urban living and travel. It's one of the smallest strollers to fold (and comes with a handy carry case) It also offers plenty of storage space, including the cup holder. The seat is comfortable for both the adult and child, and reclines to a near-flat position. This is the only stroller in our list that has a car seat adapter to allow it to be used with infants. The handlebar isn't adjustable and could be an issue for some parents who are short.

The UPPAbaby Minu V2 isn't the lightest stroller on our list, but it comes with numerous great features that make traveling with kids easier. The large seat reclines to a pretty flat position, and it comes with extra padding so that those airplane naps last longer. The extendable canopy has a lot of sun coverage and the tray that is on the back provides plenty of storage. It also has a footrest with springs that doubles as a handle when it's folded. The footrest, however, is prone to damage by baggage handlers.

4. Uppababy Minu V2

Uppababy's Minu V2 is a top stroller that doesn't compromise on design or quality. Its compact size allows it to easily navigate narrow sidewalks and tight spaces, but its robust construction ensures it can withstand rough terrain without compromising your child's safety. The spring-action suspension on the rear and front makes for an even more comfortable ride and its durable materials will stand up to the wear and tear of everyday use. It can also be enlarged to accommodate other accessories such as a bassinet and infant car seat.

Even with a baby on hand, the Minu was a breeze to fold and move around. The squat fold, which opens into three sections, was one of the easiest folds we tested. This allows it to fit easily in overhead compartments on airplanes and on public transport. It also comes with a single stroller cheap-action brake with color coded that is simple to use.

The seat has an adjustable recline in multiple positions and a single-handed adjustable leg rest, so it's easy to find the ideal position for your child. The UPF 50+ hood slid down quite far, which was great for protecting Cora's eyes from the sun (though not quite as low as other strollers). There is also a medium-sized mesh peek-aboo window that closes magnetically and sticks to the canopy, rather than using noisy Velcro.

At less than 15 pounds At just under 15 pounds, the Minu is light enough to carry with a built-in carry handle and a shoulder strap. It can be put in the trunk of your vehicle and comes with a storage container and Uppababy TravelSafe, which extends the warranty of the manufacturer by two years and provides the cost of replacement if something is damaged during travel.

5. Joovy Aire

Joovy is a well-known brand that produces various strollers. This stroller is light and a great option for parents looking for a sturdy stroller that can transport their children. It is easy to maneuver, comes with plenty of storage space, and isn't difficult to fold. It's not the best choice if you want a car seat-compatible model or a double stroller. It does not accept infant car seats. Your children should be able to sit upright on their backs before you can use it.

This stroller is brimming with features and is offered at a price that is very reasonable. It scored a higher rating in our review of maneuverability than some other models with similar specs, and is a great option for smooth surfaces. It has a huge parent tray, canopy and plenty of storage. The handlebar is smaller than the average, and the front wheel suspension is stiffer but it's still comfortable for adults.

If you have twins or two children of different ages, you may find that a side-by-side stroller is the best way to move them around. Our top pick is the Joovy Twin Groove, which offers plenty of features and a narrow footprint that fits in places that other side-by-side alternatives can't.
