Robots That Vacuum and Mop

The mop can run for 184 minutes in Quiet Mode and the vacuum can last 136 mins in standard mode, before needing to recharge or returning back to the base. The app is easy to use and intuitive, allowing you to look at all the details of the cleaning.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the most recent version of the company's most popular robot vacuum and mop. This year's model has two agitators built into its mopping pad. Its sleek and angular design is attractive and it has only three physical buttons which include the power button which also resumes cleaning; a mop-only switch that doubles as a child lock and a home button to send the robot back to its dock. The hinged lid can be lifted to reveal 350ml of dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank will empty itself and the bin is auto-filling.

The only drawback I could find in this model was the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't movable. You can change the mopping cloth if required, but it's not easy to remove the mount to wash it manually. I've found any plush carpet that the robot touches will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener on mounts, which can cause abrasions.

The S8 Pro Ultra has a variety of smart features which include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can set up and manage these using the Roborock app, which is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app also allows you to schedule cleanings and monitor the life of batteries and maintenance on components. However, you'll have to go through a few hurdles to enable voice control on this model, which is a shame considering the quality of its performance.

3. Dreame X40
